Arabic Translation Requirement for U.S. Passports

Arabic Translation for U.S. Passports

The Government of Libya requires that Americans traveling to Libya to have the biographic data page of their U.S. passports translated into Arabic. In order to help American Citizens currently residing in Libya meet this requirement, the U.S. Embassy Consular Section in Tripoli is able to provide this translation stamp for U.S. passports. The Government of Libya concurs that this stamp meets its requirements and is acceptable at Libyan ports of entry. The U.S. Embassy Consular Section in Tripoli received this concurrence in a note verbale from the Government of Libya. In case of question, the U.S. Consular Section in Tripoli can be reached at +218-(0)21-337-3100 and +218-(0)21-362-0710.
